When is end of support?

The first release of Windows 10, July 2015, is supported til October 14, 2025. With the new version of Windows came Automatic Updates with no user input. So unless you don't connect your PC to the internet, chances are you have already upgraded to the fall 2015 release. Microsoft currently plans on supporting Windows 10 for the foreseeable future, so any "End of Life" dates are always going to change.

Do you recommend Windows 10?

Highly. It is faster and more secure than the versions before it. We have 10 installed on all of our machines in the shop, and all our residential units come with Windows 10. 

Is windows 10 as awful as everyone says?

No. The differences between Windows 10 and previous versions are more aesthetic to the end user than they are functional. The changes are far less drastic from 7 to 10 than they were from 7 to 8. You wouldn't say your new car is terrible because the gear shift isn't in the same spot as your old car, right? Just takes some getting use to.
